Understanding the Proctored Exam
Each online class requires one proctored exam (math may require more than one) that is administered at any of the Ozarks Technical Community College locations---Springfield Campus, Richwood Valley Campus, Lebanon Education Center, Branson Education Center, and Waynesville Education Center---or an off-campus approved location. Any off-campus location must be pre-approved by your instructor and OTC Online. Examples of off-campus locations include college campuses, public libraries, high schools, and government or military education offices. Examples of unacceptable proctors are relatives, direct supervisors, and clergy. The following provide guidelines for the proctored exam:
- The Springfield and Richwood Valley campuses operate on a 'walk-in' basis during normal hours and appointments are not necessary. For all other OTC locations, an appointment is required due to limited testing services availability. See Testing Services for more information.
- If you have accommodations through Disability Support Services, continue to schedule your appointments through that office.
- If you are scheduling an appointment at an off-campus location, you will need to complete the Request for Off-Campus Proctored Exam form. Once completed, please send this form to your instructor. Upon approval, the instructor will communicate with the student's proctor. Your proctor should have all the necessary materials when you arrive for your test.
